On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Oregon LERA will present a program on getting the most from private and public sector labor mediation. Topics include:
-getting prepared to maximize the utility of the process,
-thinking strategically about mediation as a process,
-understanding and managing expectations, and
-understanding the importance and impact of relationships during a mediation.
The program will include a round of Ask-the-Mediator, in which participants can ask our esteemed panelists their burning questions about labor mediation. Our panelists will be:
– Janet Gillman, State Conciliator with the Employment Relations Board
–Philip A. Johnson II, Mediator with the Employment Relations Board
–Darrell D. Clark, Commissioner with the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service
–Julie Kettler, Commissioner with the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service
Breakfast will begin at 7:30 am, and the panel discussion will run from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
